Tired of seeing teenagers loitering in Starbuck or on the corner? After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles (ASAS-LA), founded in 2002 by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, offers middle and high school kids extracurricular programs focusing on visual and performing arts, as well as health, fitness, and community service. Student dance teams will face off in the All-Star Records Hip-Hop fund-raising event on June 12 at the New Millennium Secondary School in Carson, Calif.
