All-Stars HOPE: May 2012

ASAS-LA hosted its 3rd Annual Helping Other People Everyday event (H.O.P.E). As a culmination event honoring students' service, H.O.P.E offers students and families the opportunity to reflect on a year’s worth of community empowerment initiatives, as well as inspire them to continue their roles as agents of change.

Throughout the year students engage in a broad selection of service learning projects benefitting their region’s charity of choice. Students in ASAS-LA's leadership program 'Entourage',  dedicate the evening to their charity by highlighting each in a service-centered showcase.

2012's beneficiaries included the American Heart Association, Ronald McDonald House and the American Cancer Society. In effect, the Helping Other People Everyday event is the embodiment of ASAS-LA's primary mission—To educate, enlighten and inspire young people to help build healthier communities for the future.
